Where to Go & What to Park

This trip can be done at any time of year, winter or summer, rain or shine. Generally, the climate in Namibia is typical of an arid area but it's not unusual for there to be seasonal variations across the country. Be prepared for anything, but our general predictions would be as follows... Summer (January to March), is the hottest time of year and if it's going to rain, it will be now. In April and May, the temperature cools down a little and June to October are the winter months, characterised by balmy days, blue skies and lots of sunshine. At the end of the year, the temperature heats up again and you may encounter some thunderstorms here and there.

If you're travelling in the winter months, make sure to pack a lightweight jacket and even a pair of gloves and a scarf for the chilly mornings on the coast. In summer, light, loose clothes are best - but perhaps bring a jumper too!
